1. Which tour is better the South or West Rim?
This answer to this question varies from person to person so it wouldn't be fair for us to say which tour excursion would best fit your preference. It has been said that the South Rim offers far grander views and is a deeper and wider canyon. The South Rim Tour and is by far to the ratio of 3 to 1 the more popular destination of the two. Another factor that you should take into account is the amount of time you hav to spend on a tour, as the South Rim Tour length is approximately 14-hours, while the West Rim is located on the Hualapai Indian Reservation and this tour length is approximately 10-hours.
2. Why is our price different than the other companies?
The majority of the time, there are differences in the tours offered from company to company such as duration of the tour, meals, attractions included in the tour, etc., which accounts for the price differences. We suggest investigating what the tour offers, and inquire about the details of the tour. Ask if there are additional fees, such as fuel surcharges, which may or may not are outlined in the tour description.
3. What's the pick-up time for my tour?
The pick-up time is the time which we will arrive at your hotel to pick you up for the sightseeing tour that you have purchased. Our pick-up times vary from hotel to hotel and normally start about 45 minutes prior to the tour departure time.
4. Does the tour price include a fuel surcharge?
Yes. We do not charge a fuel surcharge and therefore the price quoted is the rate that you'll be charged.
5. How long are we at Hoover Dam?
The amount of time that you'll have at the Hoover Dam is 2 hours. This 2-hours allows you the opportunity to take the optional Discovery Tour, which includes entrance to the multi-million dollar tour center, the observation deck, the visitors center and a movie of the Dam's construction, and also time to walk around to view the scenery.
6. Do we start our tour directly after our pick up from our hotel?
No, once we pick you up at your hotel you'll be taken to the Gray Line Tour Center where you'll receive your boarding pass and depart for your tour excursion. The reason for this is due to number of hotels we service which requires multiple buses to reduce the time you spend on our buses performing pick-ups.
7. Is there a breakfast included on the West & South Rim Tours?
No, breakfast is not included in either of our Grand Canyon West or South Rim Tours. We however do conduct a restroom stop about 2 hours into the journey where one could purchase a snack. We will have coffee available and you're also welcome to bring something with you.
8. How long is the drive to Hoover Dam?
The distance from the strip to the Hoover Dam is about 40 miles, however due to traffic and new security measures it normally takes our buses about 45 minutes to an hour to reach the dam.
9. Is there a meal on the Neon Lights Tour?
No, we do not offer a meal for this tour excursion, however there are several stops on the tour where time allows you to purchase something.
10. What's the weather like, whether at the canyon or in Las Vegas?
Typically, the weather at the canyon is about 10 degrees cooler than Las Vegas.
